Indication
- Bacterial infections - Respiratory tract infections - Urinary tract infections - Ear infections (otitis media)
Ingredients
- Cefixime
Direction
Take orally, with or without food. Dosage varies by age, weight, and infection severity, usually once daily as prescribed.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Rash
Precautions
- Allergic reactions to cephalosporins/penicillins
- History of gastrointestinal disease
- especially colitis
- Renal impairment (dosage adjustment needed)
