Indication
- Respiratory tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections - Otitis media - Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis - H. pylori eradication (in combination)
Ingredients
- Clarithromycin
Direction
Take orally with or without food. Dosage is typically twice daily and may be weight-based for pediatric patients.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain
- Taste disturbance
- Headache
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity to macrolides
- Severe hepatic or renal impairment
- Concurrent use with QT
- prolonging drugs
- Risk of cardiac arrhythmias
