Indication
- Urinary tract infections - Respiratory tract infections - Gastrointestinal infections - Skin and soft tissue infections
Ingredients
- Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim
Direction
Take orally, usually twice daily. Dosage and duration depend on the infection and patient's condition, as prescribed by a doctor.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Rash
- Diarrhea
- Photosensitivity
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides or trimethoprim
- Severe renal or hepatic impairment
- Folate deficiency megaloblastic anemia
- Interactions with warfarin and methotrexate
