Indication
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) - Duodenal ulcers - Gastric ulcers - Zollinger-Ellison syndrome - Heartburn and acid indigestion
Ingredients
- Omeprazole
Direction
Take orally, usually once daily before a meal, preferably in the morning. Swallow the capsule whole with water.
Side effects
- Headache
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain
- Constipation
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity to omeprazole or other PPIs
- Risk of Clostridium difficile
- associated diarrhea
- May increase risk of bone fractures with long
- term use
- Potential for vitamin B12 deficiency with prolonged use
- Drug interactions with clopidogrel and other medications
