Indication
- High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) - Dyslipidemia - Prevention of cardiovascular events
Ingredients
- Atorvastatin
Direction
Take orally once daily, with or without food, typically in the evening.
Side effects
- Muscle pain (myalgia)
- Headache
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Elevated liver enzymes
Precautions
- Liver enzyme monitoring required
- Risk of myopathy/rhabdomyolysis
- Avoid grapefruit juice
- Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation
