Indication
- Urinary tract infections - Respiratory tract infections - Gastrointestinal infections - Pneumocystis pneumonia
Ingredients
- Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim
Direction
Take orally with a full glass of water, usually twice daily, for the duration prescribed by the physician.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhea
- Skin rash
- itching
- Photosensitivity
- Fungal infections (thrush)
- Blood count changes
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides
- Severe renal or hepatic impairment
- Blood dyscrasias
- G6PD deficiency
- Risk of severe skin reactions
