Indication
- Acute oral poisoning - Drug overdose - Flatulence - Indigestion
Ingredients
- Activated Charcoal
Direction
Take orally with water. For acute poisoning, dose depends on ingested toxin and patient weight. For gas/indigestion, typically 1-2 tablets as needed.
Side effects
- Black stools
- Constipation
- Nausea
- Vomiting
Precautions
- Not for corrosive poisonings
- Not for petroleum distillates
- May absorb other medications
- Risk of aspiration in unconscious patients
