Indication
- Bacterial infections (anaerobic) - Protozoal infections (e.g., giardiasis, amebiasis) - Trichomoniasis - Bacterial vaginosis
Ingredients
- Metronidazole
Direction
Take orally with or after food. Dosage and frequency depend on the infection being treated, usually multiple times a day.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Metallic taste
- Headache
- Darkening of urine
Precautions
- Avoid alcohol during treatment and for 3 days after
- History of blood dyscrasias
- Central nervous system disorders
- First trimester of pregnancy
