Indication
- Iron deficiency anemia - Nutritional deficiency
Ingredients
- Iron (as Ferrous Fumarate or similar salt)
- Folic Acid
- Vitamin B12
Direction
Take orally, usually once daily. Can be taken with food to reduce stomach upset.
Side effects
- Constipation
- Darkening of stools
- Nausea
- Abdominal discomfort
Precautions
- Risk of iron overdose
- especially in children
- Contraindicated in hemochromatosis
- Gastrointestinal irritation
