Indication
- Bacterial infections (anaerobic) - Protozoal infections (amoebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis) - Surgical prophylaxis
Ingredients
- Metronidazole
Direction
Take orally with or after food. Dosage varies by infection and severity, typically 500mg two or three times daily.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Metallic taste
- Headache
- Dark urine
Precautions
- Avoid alcohol during treatment and for 48 hours after
- History of blood dyscrasias
- CNS disorders
