Indication
- Prevention of folate deficiency anemia - Treatment of megaloblastic anemia - Prevention of neural tube defects in pregnancy
Ingredients
- Folic Acid
Direction
Take orally, usually once daily, with or without food, as directed by a healthcare professional.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Abdominal distension
- Allergic skin reactions (rare)
Precautions
- History of hypersensitivity to folic acid
- May mask Vitamin B12 deficiency (pernicious anemia)
- Interactions with certain antiepileptic drugs
