Indication
- Urinary tract infections - Prevention of recurrent UTIs
Ingredients
- Nitrofurantoin
Direction
Take orally with food. Typically 50-100mg three to four times daily for treatment, or as prescribed for prevention.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Urine discoloration (brown/yellow)
Precautions
- Severe renal impairment
- Glucose
- 6
- phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
- Pulmonary fibrosis history
- Peripheral neuropathy
