Indication
- Schizophrenia - Other psychotic disorders - Severe behavioral problems - Nausea and vomiting - Intractable hiccups
Ingredients
- Chlorpromazine
Direction
Take orally. Dosage and frequency are highly individualized based on condition and patient response, usually starting low and increasing gradually.
Side effects
- Sedation
- Dizziness
- Dry mouth
- Blurred vision
- Constipation
- Orthostatic hypotension
Precautions
- Contraindicated in CNS depression
- Avoid in severe liver/kidney disease
- May cause sedation and orthostatic hypotension
- Risk of tardive dyskinesia
- Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome risk
