Indication
- Hypocalcemia in chronic kidney disease - Secondary hyperparathyroidism - Hypoparathyroidism - Vitamin D-resistant rickets
Ingredients
- Calcitriol
Direction
Take orally, usually once daily. Dosage is adjusted based on serum calcium and phosphorus levels and medical condition.
Side effects
- Hypercalcemia
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Headache
- Constipation
Precautions
- Hypercalcemia monitoring required
- Avoid other Vitamin D supplements
- Monitor renal function
