Indication
- Herpes simplex virus infections - Varicella-zoster virus infections - Shingles - Chickenpox - Cold sores - Genital herpes
Ingredients
- Aciclovir (Acyclovir)
Direction
Take orally, usually 2 to 5 times daily, with or without food, as prescribed.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Skin rash
Precautions
- Kidney impairment requires dose adjustment
- Maintain adequate hydration
- Use with caution in elderly patients
- Possible neurotoxicity at high doses
