Indication

Mucolytic agent used as adjunctive therapy in respiratory tract disorders with excessive or thick mucus secretion, such as acute and chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and cough with phlegm. Helps break down and dissolve mucus to relieve productive cough.

Ingredients

• Acetylcysteine 200mg

Direction

Dissolve the granules in half a glass of water, stir and drink immediately. Adults and children over 6 years: 1 sachet (200mg) 2 to 3 times daily. Children 2 to 6 years: 1 sachet (200mg) 2 times daily, or as directed by a physician. Best taken after meals.

• Diarrhea or abdominal discomfort
• Headache
• Skin rash or urticaria (rare)
• Bronchospasm (rare
• especially in asthmatic patients)
• Stomatitis (rare)

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with asthma or history of bronchospasm
• Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer or history of gastrointestinal bleeding
• Not recommended for children under 2 years without medical supervision
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• May increase gastric mucosal barrier disruption when combined with other mucolytics
• Keep out of reach of children
