Combined oral contraceptive — pregnancy prevention
Ingredients
- Desogestrel 150mcg + Ethinylestradiol 30mcg (21 active + 7 placebo)
Direction
1 tablet daily for 28 days starting day 1 of cycle, no break between packs
Side effects
- Headache
- breast tenderness
- nausea
- breakthrough bleeding
- mood changes
Precautions
- Increased risk of VTE
- especially in smokers >35 yr
