Indication
- Gout treatment and prevention - Hyperuricemia (high uric acid levels) - Urate nephropathy - Recurrent calcium oxalate kidney stones
Ingredients
- Allopurinol
Direction
Take orally once daily, preferably after meals. Dosage is determined by a doctor based on uric acid levels.
Side effects
- Skin rash
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Gout flare (at initiation)
- Drowsiness
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash)
- Renal impairment (dose adjustment required)
