Indication
- Severe recalcitrant nodular acne
Ingredients
- Isotretinoin
Direction
Take orally, usually with a meal, once or twice daily as prescribed by a physician.
Side effects
- Dry skin and lips
- Dry eyes
- Nosebleeds
- Joint pain
- Headache
Precautions
- Highly teratogenic (causes severe birth defects)
- contraindicated in pregnancy
- Risk of psychiatric side effects (depression
- suicidal ideation)
- Monitor liver function and lipid levels
- Avoid vitamin A supplements
- Photosensitivity
- avoid excessive sun exposure
- Avoid waxing and laser procedures during treatment
