Indication

Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever. Treatment of rheumatic conditions. Used for headache, toothache, muscle pain, menstrual pain, and inflammatory conditions.

Ingredients

• Acide acétylsalicylique (Acetylsalicylic Acid / Aspirin) 500mg

Direction

For adults only. Mild to moderate pain and fever: 1-2 tablets, may repeat every 4 hours, maximum 6 tablets per day. Elderly: 1 tablet, may repeat every 4 hours, maximum 4 tablets per day. Rheumatic conditions: 2 tablets every 6 hours. Swallow whole with a large glass of water. Gastro-resistant tablet — do not crush or chew.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal irritation
• nausea
• or stomach pain
• Gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration (with prolonged use)
• Heartburn or indigestion
• Increased bleeding time
• Tinnitus or hearing disturbance (with high doses)
• Allergic reactions including bronchospasm (rare)

Precautions

• Do not use in children under 16 years (risk of Reye's syndrome)
• Do not use in patients allergic to aspirin or other NSAIDs
• Do not use in patients with active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
• Do not use in patients with bleeding disorders (hemophilia
• thrombocytopenia)
• Use with caution in patients with asthma
• Avoid during the last trimester of pregnancy
• Use with caution in elderly patients (lower maximum dose)
• May interact with anticoagulants (warfarin) and other blood thinners
• Keep out of reach of children
