Indication
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable angina pectoris. May be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents. Also indicated for vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina.
Ingredients
- Amlodipine Besilate B.P. equivalent to Amlodipine base 5mg
Direction
As directed by the Physician. Usual starting dose: 5mg once daily. Swallow tablets with water. Can be taken with or without food. Do not exceed indicated dose. Read the instructions carefully before using.
Side effects
- Peripheral edema (ankle swelling)
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Flushing or feeling of warmth
- Headache
- Fatigue or drowsiness
- Nausea or abdominal pain
- Palpitations (rare)
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with severe aortic stenosis
- Use with caution in patients with heart failure
- Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment
- May cause hypotension — monitor blood pressure regularly
- Consult doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Do not exceed indicated dose
- Keep out of reach of children
